Job vacancy: Junior B2B Technology Copywriter (Cornwall or Remote)

*Note: This deadline has now passed, but we’re always on the lookout for talented B2B copywriters and account managers. You’ll find more details on our careers page.

We’re biased, we know. But if you’re considering becoming a B2B copywriter, we think this is the best position you could ever apply for.

We have a supportive work environment, brilliant clients, a talented team… and structured development and mentoring to help you become the best copywriter you can possibly be. After 13 years of business, no writer we’ve recruited has ever left.

If you have a natural ability to write crisp, clear sentences (and if you get strangely curious about really niche subjects), you might be just the person we need.

Junior Copywriter is our entry-level writing position, giving you a way in to the industry. You’ll be writing marketing content for some of the world’s biggest tech firms, as part of a widely respected team.

You’ll likely already have a portfolio of compelling writing (not necessarily in our sector), a keen eye for detail, and a positive, “can do” approach when things get busy. You’ll be a team player, who can receive constructive feedback with a smile.

In return, we can promise you a great place to work (we try not to brag, but we were once voted the second-best employer in Cornwall).

Simply, we try hard to employ good people, and look after them. Your colleagues will care about you, you’ll usually leave work on time, and you’ll get 25 days’ holiday a year (plus generous Christmas closing and bank holidays). Plus private health cover, quarterly rewards, and a share of our profits over and above your salary.

We want the company to be a positive presence in the world, and we have some exciting plans that we can tell you about at interview.

If you choose, you could join us in our award-winning, waterside eco-offices here in Penryn, Cornwall. Or you could work remotely from wherever you are.

If that sounds good, please send…

  1. A brilliant covering email
  2. ONE example of your writing, showing the strengths we’re looking for
  3. Your CV

To jobs@radix-communications.com

(If we like what we read, we’ll contact you to arrange an interview call – most likely in the week commencing 17th May. We’re genuinely sorry that we don’t have the capacity to give you individual feedback if you’re not successful.)

Job specifics at a glance:

  • Junior B2B Technology Copywriter
  • £18,450 – £21,525 + profit-related bonus
  • Clear, transparent structure for further development
  • Based in Penryn, Cornwall, UK – or working remotely
  • 37.5 hours per week (we’ll also consider part-time and job share)
  • Closing date: Monday 10th May 2021

(If you’re a more experienced B2B tech writer than this role suggests, we still want to hear from you. See our careers page.)

A bit more about the role, and where it fits:

At Radix, we write marketing materials for many of the world’s best technology companies (some you might not have heard of; others you definitely have). We write blog posts and ebooks, email campaigns and video scripts – plus lots of case studies, and many more formats besides.

We have a global base of clients who rely on us to ask them smart questions about what they do, so we can explain it in a way their business customers will find compelling. As a result, we get to know a little bit about a lot of weird and wonderful tech. (You don’t need to know about that yet, but you do need to be curious.)

As a Junior Copywriter, you’ll work alongside other copywriters and account managers to understand and write this content. At first, it will mostly be short-form writing (emails, social media, short blog posts), and you’ll get the mentoring and training to build your knowledge and expertise, ready for more ambitious work.

Even though you’re a great writer, it’s a steep learning curve. But that’s normal, and we’ll support you every step of the way.

Other benefits include:

  • 25 days’ paid annual leave (or equivalent), plus generous Christmas closing
  • 3 months’ paid new parent leave (in addition to statutory allowances)
  • 3-month sabbatical option (on half pay) after 5 years
  • Charity and environmental programmes
  • Staff welfare union to ensure any issues are addressed
  • Team rewards throughout the year
  • Pension and private health cover, Cyclescheme and Techscheme

If you have any questions, we’ll be glad to answer them. Drop us a line at jobs@radix-communications.com.
