The short version

The short version is this: “We won’t do anything with your data that we wouldn’t be happy for someone to do with ours.”

The long version

We (Radix Communications Limited)  keep a small amount of personal information about people who communicate with us about business.

We take our data privacy responsibilities very seriously. So we use the personal information we collect in a few, limited ways, and we never, ever share personal information with third parties.

If you have any questions, requests or complaints about the way we have collected, stored or used your data, please email [email protected].

Our newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we’ll collect your name and email address, which we’ll store in our Mailchimp email marketing database and our separate CRM system.

You can, of course, unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the newsletter email.

Third-party marketing

From time to time we make our content available to download from other organisations’ websites.

If you registered to access this content, that third party will usually pass your registration information on to us.

We may use this information to create or add to a record about you in our CRM system. We may also use it to follow up with you – for example, to ask if you found the content useful, or to offer you more content on a related subject.

CRM records

If you interact with us in a business capacity or engage with our marketing content, we may create a record for you in our CRM system, and collect information to understand more about you and your interest in Radix.

We’ll record any relevant information you share with us, like your name, job title, company, email address, phone numbers, and links to your social media accounts. The CRM software may pull a photo of you from one of your social media accounts, and add it to your record.

We may also record when and how we’ve been in contact with each other, and what we’ve talked about.

We will keep these records in our CRM, unless you ask us to delete them.

Social media and search engine marketing

If our records suggest you have a business interest in what we do, we might use your data to offer you content on third party websites, like search engines and social media platforms. (This data is hashed when it’s transferred, so it’s not personally identifiable.)

We don’t have anything to gain by annoying you, so we’ll do our best to ensure any such messages are relevant, interesting, useful, and unobtrusive.

If you seem like the kind of person we really want to work with, we may also use your information to locate other people who have things in common with you.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people engage with our site. It collects information about your device, location, where you’ve arrived from, and the pages you’ve visited. If you don’t want us to have this information, you can always install Google’s Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Recruitment records

Radix recruits new employees directly and through third-party agencies.

During recruitment drives we collect CVs and covering letters which contain personal information like names, postal addresses, dates of birth, contact details, and – sometimes – photographs.

Often, we also receive unsolicited CVs and other types of job applications.

We store this information in a protected OneDrive folder.

Unless you become an employee of Radix Communications Limited, we will routinely delete and destroy this information after a maximum of five years.

Business development activities

Occasionally, we’ll make the first move and contact a company we’d especially like to work with, if we have a strong belief they’d benefit from our services.

In such cases, we only use contact data that’s publicly available (we don’t buy third party data) and only related to work (not personal). This might include your name, work email, phone number, address, or social media profile information.

This data is only stored on our CRM and we never hold data for longer than is necessary, running regular purges to ensure our database is relevant and up-to-date.

If you hear from us and you’d rather we never contact you again, please let us know. In such cases, we’ll generally keep a record of your data (so we know not to contact you), but we’re happy to delete this if you’d prefer.

The future

Doubtless, the rapidly-changing digital marketing landscape will mean it soon becomes perfectly normal to use data in new ways we haven’t even thought of yet. If there’s any significant change to the arrangements outlined on this page, we’ll let you know and give you the opportunity to contact us about how we use your data.

If you have any questions about how we collect, store and use data, please get in touch.
